Named after a dog
Lumi changed how we think about dog grooming.
We grew up with dogs our entire lives and always did fine. Then we got Lumi, our giant breed dog, and realized that growing up with dogs didn't prepare us for a giant breed.
Giant breeds develop differently, eat differently, and carry health risks that most dog guides barely mention. The internet offered thousands of articles written for Labradors and Beagles. Almost nothing felt like it was written for a dog of her size, with a growth rate that needed careful monitoring.
So we wrote what we needed. Guides founded in research, honest about what we don't know, and designed to be read rather than skimmed. Whether you have a giant breed or any dog you want to understand in depth, these guides are for you.

What format are the guides in?
The guides are provided as typeset PDF files, designed to be read on screen or printed. Each guide is between 80 and 140 pages.
Do these fit all breeds?
Yes. The guides are written for all dogs and all breeds, with specific notes where the breed plays a role. Where a topic differs significantly for a breed group, we mention it clearly.
What does 'updates for life' mean?
When new evidence on a topic emerges, we update the guide and send the new edition to everyone who has already purchased it, at no extra cost, forever.
